A coated, single ply drumhead in a medium weight. This drumhead features a special coating that has the look, feel and warm sound of a calfskin head. Sort of a warm cream colored coating. BD heads feature a built in Vertical Felt Muffle Strip. These offer a retro look, but are designed to fit contemporary drumsets and offer the feel, look and sound of calf skin. For some drumsets made before 1960 the oversized American Vintage series (call us to special order) will usually be a better fit due to the larger shells of most vintage drumset.
