This lug has a footprint of about the size of a nickel coin. Much better than many of the tiny footprint single hole lugs out there, as it will not be an prone to pull at an agle with tension. High quality aluminum drum lug.This hole does have a visible hole on the botom to allow for proper tuning.This lug is for use on a Bass Drum. NOTE: Mounting screws ARE included with this lug. Uses 10-32 thread mounting screws. This model has a high quality Chrome plated finish. Trick lugs are reccomended for 8ply shells or thicker, as 6ply shells can require a special spacer on the inside of shell. This is a Bass Drum specific lug, it is taller off the shell to align with standard BD hoops, Claws etc... This lug is not made for use on a tom or snare with standard metal hoops. NOTE: Like most machined lugs, this lug does not have a swivel insert to flexable tension rod alignment. Care must be practiced when inserting and threading tension rods into these lugs. Never force things.
